EVERYONE CARES CAMP CO-DIRECTOR

Sara serves as the co-director of Everyone Cares Camp. She has served on the NYI council in multiple capacities over the years. She loves going on adventures with her family, cheering her kids on in their activities, and reading a good book. Sara is an active member of her church community at College Church University Avenue where she can often be found greeting families in the children’s worship area. She’s not a fan of winter or being cold, and she loves all things Mickey Mouse.

ADULT REPRESENTATIVE

Scott serves the district as an elected adult representative. Over the years, he has served in multiple capacities. He loves hanging out with teenagers, theatre, and vacationing with his family. He is an active member of his church community at College Church University Avenue, where he can often be found playing 9-square with the youth group. He also loves to play toy blast!

EVERYONE CARES CAMP CO-DIRECTOR

Jeremy has been involved with Everyone Cares Camp since 1995. He started out serving as a counselor, and has now been co-directing for more than a decade. He has a passion for individuals with special needs, as well as the spiritual growth and maturity of teenagers on the district. Camp provides him the unique and awesome opportunity to mix both of those passions.

DISTRICT SECRETARY

Melody is married to Tony, and they have 2 daughters: Ashley & Hannah. She has been working with kids, teens, and young adults for most of her life, and she loves to hear their stories, encourage them & show that she cares. In her free time, Melody enjoys playing board games, photography & spending time with family!

DISTRICT TREASURER

Joel loves serving as the Student Ministries Pastor for the 7-12th grade students and their families at College Church - University Avenue. Joel's passions for ministry include helping students develop a genuine and whole-hearted faith in Jesus, encouraging and supporting parents through the dreaded "teenager" years, and equipping a team of dedicated leaders who love God and cheer on our students.

BIBLE QUIZZING DIRECTOR

DISTRICT PRESIDENT

David has served as the District NYI President since 2016. He is the middle school pastor at GatheringPoint Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, IL. He is married to Kati, and is the proud cat dad of Beau & Logan. David is a 2005 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. He has won numerous championships in a variety of recreational sports, thanks to the much better players on his team. His favorite theologian is Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and his favorite place is his family farm in Indiana.

ADULT REPRESENTATIVE

Since October 2021, Carrie has been serving as the lay youth pastor for Paxton, more affectionately known as PaxNaz. Prior to that, she served as the youth leader and teen quiz director for Hoopeston Community Church of the Nazarene. Carrie has been very active in district teen quizzing and district events. Carrie is the parent of four teenagers.
